Ivy's Fastest Solar Car
Global Warming Issues alarming the world. That's why today many scientists are racing to create a vehicle that does not use fuel oil, until now coming Ivy, the fastest solar car in the world.
The students from the University of New South Wales recently managed to break the record for solar powered vehicles. Reporting from the Wired site, they managed to increase the speed of the vehicle named Sunswift IV or called Ivy.
Vehicles driven by Barton Mawer managed to carve out the speed of 55.14 miles per hour or 88.7 kilometers per hour. Obviously this speed exceeds the record sebellumnya which only 79 km per hour.
"It's a long road, but we are very pleased with the results we've achieved," said project manager Sunswift, Daniel Friedman, told Wired.
Not only that, Mawer also claim that Ivy is very stable when driving. Although the handling is still little changed, after a special bataerai this vehicle in use for long trips.
"This vehicle is designed to stabilize at speed before, so the aerodynamics makes the vehicle becomes stable," he said.
However, Ivy is targeted to run even faster. Currently, Ivy was optimized again to face the World Solar Challenge that will be in the title in October.
